EMT Refresher

This EMT Refresher course is an interactive, blended-learning course that provides the required 34 hours of continuing education for NREMT recertification. This refresher course addresses the objectives in the National EMS Education Standards and was designed to meet the specific requirements of the NREMT refresher option for the EMT applicant.

To be able to count this refresher for full NREMT credit you MUST attend all 4 sessions for a total of 32 hours in the classroom. If you attend all 4 sessions and complete the online requirements at the end of this course you will have completed all didactic NREMT requirements (34 hours) and be certified in EMPACT, AHA-BLS and ITLS.

Each student must have the items below completed before class and that class textbook when required:

  • December 2, 2019: ITLS 8-5pm the online ITLS lectures must be watched and an ITLS book is required.
  • December 3, 2019: BLS Class 8-12 then 1300-1600 Skills check off
  • December 10, 2019: EMPACT 8-5 Text Book or Online Book required.
  • December 11, 2019: EMPACT 8-5 with medical assessment skill check off

CRM: 0.5 hours

Ped’s Transport: 0.5 hours
